BG1 uses only structural hard avoids. Pairing-number avoid lists stay out of BG1 so they cannot accidentally block a named premium trip.
BG1 may reopen 1-days once for a productive weekday PTO/drop bridge immediately before Clear Schedule. Do not re-avoid 1-days in BG1 because the next line clears the schedule and starts BG2.
BG2 uses pairing-number avoids because it contains generic fallback lines: priority avoids before premium awards, then the full avoid list after premium awards.
Premium 2-days belong after premium multi-day tiers in both groups. In BG1 they are the last hope to build the line before Clear Schedule, but there are no BG1 generic fallback lines for them to reach.
BG1 should not include generic fallback lines. If the premium tiers plus premium 2-days plus the optional one-day PTO bridge cannot complete the line, let Clear Schedule/Start Next Bid Group fire.
BG2 repeats the same premium tiers and premium 2-days at the top, then adds generic fallback and finally the one-day filler. Re-avoid 1-days after the BG2 filler because BG2 continues after that line.
